Parent Committees

"Being on the policy council at Head Start made me feel important, we made policies, we supported the teachers, and we reviewed financial information for the program.  We made good things happen for the children in the program."

Parent involvement has proven an essential ingredient in a child's educational process.  At Children's Learning Center, parents are involved in the programs and services their children receive on every level from individual assistance to determining policy and curriculum.

The parents of children in every program at Children's Learning Center are encouraged to be involved in their child's educational experience by serving on advisory committees,  helping in the classroom and interacting with the administration.  This gives parents excellent training  to understand and successfully navigate the public school system, making them effective advocates for their kids long after leaving Children's Learning Center.
