History

“One only has to look into the eyes of a young child to see HOPE in the world. We are very fortunate in Teton and Sublette counties to share this beautiful place with children from many cultures. Their smiles remind us that we share the same dreams for all children.”
- Judy Montagne, Executive Director

For over 30 years, the children of Teton and Sublette Counties have had a consistent ally in their journey through the baby, toddler and preschool years.

Since 1972, Children's Learning Center has offered programs to help these young children to succeed in school and in life. As the youth population in these counties has grown and changed, the programs of Children's Learning Center have also grown and changed with them.

The brainchild of a small group of concerned citizens, Children's Learning Center initially formed to provide early intervention for children with developmental challenges. From it's early roots as a center for special education, the programs of Children's Learning Center have grown to include Early Head Start, Head Start, an integrated preschool program, childcare services for infants and toddlers, and screening services.

Currently, Children's Learning Center serves 385 children through our programs and more than 400 children are provided developmental screening each year. Children's Learning Center employs more than 50 staff, maintains 9 classrooms, 3 therapy facilities and 6 administrative and staff offices in Teton and Sublette counties.

Knowing that ALL children benefit from attention during their early developmental years, Children's Learning Center has built a solid portfolio of programs that inspire and educate ALL children to reach their greatest potential.
